With every passing day, scientists and doctors across the world are making advances in the treatment of all types of illnesses. Where some diseases meant certain death a few years ago, it may now mean that the patient must undergo a procedure and leave the hospital within a day or two, ready to continue with their life. One of these advances that have made an enormous impact on the medical field is laparoscopic procedures. Laparoscopic refers to procedures that are done in the abdomen through a small incision through the use of a very small camera that is placed on a fibre optic cable to investigate the patient.
